Maude – A Poem By Me

* I found this photo of a little girl in a tin of old photographs at a vintage fair. I couldn’t bear to leave her behind because she was once someone’s little girl. She lives in my purse and I’ve christened her Maude.

  1. That is so sweet! And a lovely poem. I’m glad you rescued her. I find it really sad to see old photos of anonymous people who are now forgotten. What decade do you reckon this one was taken?

  2. I love this picture, it reminds me of one I have of my mother sitting in a deckchair with her teddy bear. She was born in 1928 and would have been about the same age as Maude. I’d say 1930’s.
